Teresa O’Flynn
Partner, Co-Head of Infrastructure
Teresa O’Flynn is a Partner, Co‑Head and Founder of Ara Infrastructure at Ara Partners, a mid‑market infrastructure strategy focused on pragmatic, cost‑effective energy and industrial transition investing. The strategy targets opportunities across low‑carbon molecules, transport and logistics, waste‑to‑x, distributed energy and energy efficiency. Teresa has over 20 years’ experience in infrastructure private equity across the energy and industrial sectors.
Prior to Ara Partners, Teresa was a Managing Director, Portfolio Manager and member of the Investment Committee across several BlackRock infrastructure and private equity investment strategies and served as Global Head of Sustainable Investing for BlackRock’s ~$300bn+ Alternatives platform. During her time at BlackRock, she led numerous transactions in renewable power generation including project development and construction, joint ventures with strategic incumbents, take‑privates and management buyouts.
Earlier in her career, Teresa was part of the leadership team at Airtricity North America, a leading wind energy IPP that was sold to E.ON in 2008 for an enterprise value in excess of $1 billion. She trained as a Chartered Accountant and Tax Consultant with Arthur Andersen / KPMG and holds a first‑class honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Galway. Teresa is passionate about the outdoors and in her free time enjoys spending time on the family farm in Galway where she grew up.
