Assistant Controller
Lindy Smith is involved with various aspects of Ara’s finance operations.
Prior to joining Ara, Lindy was Controller at Sanchez Management Corporation where she primarily focused on managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax support. Prior to joining Sanchez Management, Lindy was a Supervisor at Miller Grossbard Advisors, LLP, a boutique CPA firm, in their Tax Services group. At MGA, she was primarily focused on maintaining relationships with key clients, mentoring and training personnel, and ensuring that all projects were filed timely with federal and state agencies. Prior to MGA, Lindy served as a Senior Tax Associate at Andersen.
Lindy holds a Master of Accounting and dual Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Finance and Accounting from Texas Christian University. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
